AHA - The Science Communication Hub
Fact-based scientific communication is more important than ever. The relentless rise of fake news provides a need to offer competent, reliable and easily understood communication of scientific processes and findings. Focusing on the facts and communicating science-related topics in a credible and preferably entertaining manner can push back on misinformation and highlight science’s contributions to solving the challenges facing society.
The greater Munich area is home to outstanding universities and other third-level institutions, museums and research facilities covering all scientific fields. For a long time, however, there was a lack of coordination between these institutions when it came to science communication activities. To rectify this, AHA – The Science Communication Hub was established in 2024 and its activities are coordinated from offices at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
